At Seavants, we’re passionate about delivering exceptional coffee while championing sustainable farming. We source from small-scale farmers who grow their coffee using organic methods, free from chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or fungicides. These farms, for example, naturally compost coffee cherry skins to enrich their soil, fostering a healthy environment for both the land and their communities. In contrast, large coffee brands often rely on expansive farms that use pesticides and chemicals to maximize output, prioritizing quantity over environmental care.

While some of our coffees carry official organic certification—clearly labeled as “Certified Organic” on our site—all are grown using organic methods. The high cost of certification can be a barrier for small farms without large buyers offering premiums to offset it. Moreover, organic certification doesn’t always guarantee the absence of harmful chemicals, as some large certified farms may use certain approved substances, which may still pose environmental or health concerns. We source from small-scale farmers who use traditional organic methods to ensure their practices align with our values.
